PAINTING BY NUMBERS is my second 3D animation. Here I used the
paint program embedded in this software: I draw and paint on a "3D
canvas".

The mouse of the computer becomes my brush. This allows me to deal
with painting in a non physical way. By animating my electronic canvas
with luminosity and transparency I stir up an extremely active surface
(somewhat like the Impressionists did with their divided brush strokes)
where the layering process becomes transparent as well.

PAINTING BY NUMBERS evokes land covered with scrub vegetation that
transforms into underwater vegetation. Its algorithmic nature provides
repetitions, transformations, accelerations and different types of textures.
Calculated by a machine, landscape is a genre in painting that can be
renewed and questioned.
